What is Engaging Islam?
An intensive course for understanding and impacting the Muslim world. Perfect for missionaries, church leaders, local workers, and anyone who wants to learn how to effectively engage Muslims with the gospel. Taught by experienced evangelists and Muslim-background Christians, this one-week course combines classroom instruction, discussion, role-playing, and hands-on street evangelism and gospel conversation with Muslims that will vitalize and empower your witness!
Course modules provide an in-depth study of Islamic beliefs and practices, what to expect in gospel conversations and relationships with Muslims, common stumbling blocks Muslims face, and different steps in Muslims’ journey toward Christ. Engaging Islam Institute attendees report increased effectiveness in their ability to:
practice biblical evangelism
respond to questions Muslims ask
communicate truth into another culture
develop a Christian worldview
help converts develop spiritual discipline
bear Muslims’ suffering and hardships
train others in servant leadership
***NOTE: Course instruction will begin the day after Labor Day: Tuesday, September 8. However, for those who desire extra hands-on ministry experience, we will be hosting a Labor Day picnic and community outreach event on Monday, September 7. If you wish to attend the picnic and outreach event, you will be able to indicate that on the registration form.

Housing and Childcare
On-site housing will not be provided. You will receive a follow-up email with hotel suggestions after you have completed your registration.
All M-F lunches are included with your Institute registration regardless of your housing arrangement.
On-site childcare will be available during session times (8:30 am-5:30 pm), excluding meal and free times, and subject to session time changes. Total childcare costs for the week are $150 for the first child and $50 for each additional child.
Webinar
For the first time ever, we are offering an online webinar option for the Engaging Islam Institute course. The webinar will be held on Zoom, and it will include all of the classroom teachings that will take place in-person. This is the perfect option for those that are interested in the intensive course for understanding and impacting the Muslim world but do not have the ability to travel to Dearborn.

COVID-19
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow CDC guidelines for Engaging Islam Institute. If there is a need to cancel the in-class training, then we will still hold the online webinar. Those that have paid the full $195 for the in-class training will be refunded $100 and given the link to attend our online webinar.
